OCTOBER HALF-TERM WORKSHOPS

The session will begin with group work & exercises on Technique, Breath and Acting-Through-Song.

This will then be followed by an Acting-Through-Song Workshop. 

Each performer would be asked to bring a song that they want to work on. Then one by one we will each perform for the group, and I will lead a session workshopping the acting choices, as well as exploring how technique can be used to help / influence the text. 

During the workshop of each song, not only will you discover new things about that particular text, but will also learn exercises, trick and tools to take away and apply to any other material.

This is also great preparation for audition technique either for shows or drama school! 

At first, I know this sounds like a scary prospect, but I promise you the space will be nothing but fun and supportive! Such workshops are a weekly class at almost every drama school and are an indispensable part of an actor's tool-belt. 

The reason we work on the songs as a group is not only to give you the confidence to perform in front of others, especially to make mistakes in front of others, but also as you learn just as much by watching someone play as you do working yourself.

The length of the session will depend on the amount of performers, but will probably last 3 - 4 hours.
